Cisco Systems ha annunciato durante la giornata di ieri, nuovi switch di livello accesso, si tratta dei nuovi Catalyst serie 3560-X e 3750-X dal costo rispettivo paria 5.200 e 3.400 Dollari.  I nuovi apparati vengono proposti in configurazione da 24 o 48 porte 10/100/1000, PoE+ con quattro uplink Gigabit o due a 10Ggabit.

Il modello 3750-X supporta la tecnologia StackWise Plus di Cisco in grado di raggruppare logicamente fino a nove apparati, per un totale di una singola unità logica da 64Gbps.

Nuova variante anche per il Catalyst 2960 che ora, con il modello S, potrà contare su 24 o 48 porte 10/100/1000, 4 uplink Gigabit o 2 da 10Gabit con possibilità di stacking e supporto alla tecnologia PoE e PoE+. Il costo del 2960-S è pari a 2000$.
